Biker completes cross-country journey Monday

Stuart Stiffey, who made a stop in Minneota during his 4,500-mile bicycle journey, arrived at his home in Woodstock, NY, around 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 4.
Stiffey, 65, a part-time veterinarian, traveled from British Columbia to Woodstock in 80 days. He stopped in Minneota on Aug. 15 to grab a pasta salad from Brad’s Market, and allowed the Mascot to interview him and take his picture before he headed out and spend the night at Ramsey Park in Redwood Falls.
This was the second time Stiffey biked across the country, the first time coming in 1976 when he biked from Anchorage, AL down to Los Angeles and then to New York.
