Ask the Chief April 30, 2020

Tensions are starting to rise and with that people are becoming less patient and more agitated. This will lead to more disputes which will then become assault or property damage investigations. You will say that it won’t happen to you, but that is the same thing everyone who has ever been arrested has said. Do yourself a favor and prevent the problem before it is too late. Eat healthy. Go for a walk. Find some quiet time and be alone with yourself so you can relax. Cut back on the number of alcoholic beverages you are consuming, because it is extremely rare that I arrest a sober person. If you don’t want something done to you then don’t do it to others. Before doing anything ask yourself if this is something you want to be calling your family about from jail or if you want your friends and neighbors to read about it on Facebook. Remember that if law enforcement shows up it is because we were called about your behavior. We are not picking on you. We are not out to get you. You did this to yourself and we have a job to do. Please make good choices to avoid having to take a ride with me to jail.
