Assumer other vehicles

By:
Minneota Police Chief Bill Bolt
If you find yourself using country roads, you will have noticed that the corn crop looks good.
Almost every field is tasseled and full of dark green corn stalks.
While this is good for the farmers, the tall corn can make uncontrolled intersections dangerous.
I have noticed that the tall corn makes it difficult to see cross traffic or even the dust cloud a vehicle kicks up on gravel roads.
Always assume that there are other vehicles on the road.
Approach interactions with caution and be prepared to stop.
Remember, it is better to yield the right of way then to get hit in the side of your vehicle.
