October Viking Valor

Elementary

This student shows Viking valor in so many ways. He is an outstanding helper in the classroom, follows the school rules, and listens to his teachers. He keeps the school neat and tidy as well as pick up messes he didn’t make without being asked. At snack and lunch, you can find him helping his friends open up their milks, and he never forgets to say “Please” and “Thank you.” He is always so happy and kind to everybody. Congratulations to our preschool student of the month, Max Buseth!

Kindergarten would like to nominate a student who is ALWAYS setting a good example by following rules and showing Viking Valor. This student is helpful and kind to their classmates and teachers. He/She listens and follows directions quickly. He/She never needs a reminder to do their best and has learned so much already since the beginning of this Kindergarten year. Everyone would say this student is their friend. We are proud to congratulate Jacob Loyson as our October Viking Valor Student of the Month.

The first grade teachers would like to nominate a student who has been doing a good job in his/her classroom. This student is showing Viking Valor by working hard, helping others, and doing what they are supposed to be doing when asked. He/she also works hard to help when things get difficult by encouraging others to show honor, respect and high expectations. Congratulations to Anndi Frie for being the October Student of the Month in First Grade.

This student comes to school each day with a positive attitude and a smile on their face ready to learn. He/She is very kind to their classmates and is a natural leader in the classroom. He/She is always willing to help other students, is a very hard worker and strives to show Viking valor in and out of the classroom. We are so happy this student became a Viking this year! Congratulations Eden Meagher.

The third grade teachers would like to nominate someone who displays the three characteristics of Viking Valor each day. This student is very respectful of his/her peers and the adults in the building. He/she is polite and caring to others. He/she respects others during class time by working quietly and doing his/her best. This student meets high expectations by never giving up even when the task might be challenging. He/she pushes him/herself to meet the expectations set before him/her with a positive attitude. This student shows honor by always having his/her materials ready for each activity. He/she also keeps his/her work area organized and neat. Way to go, Quinton Anderson!

The fourth grade teachers would like to nominate Carson Javers for the student of the month. Carson is a stand out student when it comes to work ethic and perseverance. Carson goes above and beyond to improve his reading and math skills. In fact, he’s willingly given up recess time to do a little extra work. He tries really hard to figure things out on his own first, and then asks for help if he’s still unsure. Carson takes pride is knowing how to do something by himself. Carson recently AR tested on a “fat book” he read all by himself and got 100 percent on his AR test! Carson also helps himself and his classmates by demonstrating good listening skills in class. Keep up the GREAT work, Carson!

The 5th grade teachers would like to nominate this person for the October Viking Valor award because of their great work ethic. They are always on task, take great pride in what they are working on, complete any and all assignments on time, and most of all are a great peer role model to their classmates. Even though this student is a person of few words they have great meaning behind them and they also have a tremendous sense of humor. They are a great role model to their classmates as well as their siblings. Thanks for a great year so far, Hannah Fadness!

The 6th grade teachers would like to nominate a student who has taken great leaps this year. His/her teachers have noticed how hard he/she works every day and takes initiative for his/her school work. This student is kind to his/her classmates and continues to show Viking Valor in and out of the classroom. We are very proud how much this student has grown as a respectful, caring, hardworking individual. Keep up the AWESOME work Jewelz Vierstraete!
