Catholic Daughters give local awards

Catholic Daughters of the Americas-Court St. Joan of Arch No. 1291 this week announced winners of the 2017 Local Education Contest from St. Edward School.
In the Art category, the winner was Lauren Badgett, grade six with Kate Hennen second, grade six.
Poetry Category winner was Sylvia Rabaey, sixth grade. Kaitlyn Ludwikowski won first place for Essay with Ella Bot second. Both are in the sixth grade.
The Photography winner was Reagan Biershenk. She also is in the sixth grade. Winners at the state level included Rabaey in third; Bierschenk in third; Badgett honorable mention and Ludwikowski honorable mention.
Students from St. Edward School in Minneota submitted entries for the 2017 contest. The awards were presented on April 27.
