Bendix named PIC exec director

The SW MN Private Industry Council (PIC) Board of Directors has announced the selection of Carrie Bendix as the next Executive Director of the SW MN Private Industry Council. Chairperson, John Roiger noted that Carrie brings a high level of experience and knowledge to the position.

Bendix was formerly Center Director for Employment Action Center in Minneapolis. She has experience in providing consultation, mentoring, leadership development and evaluation with a board of directors and executive directors of 156 small nonprofits on organizational development on a national level.

She also has dealt with fiscal management, personnel management, and strategic planning; past experience in employment and training programs; key player in the SW/SC WIOA Regional Plan.

And, she served on the Suburban Hennepin and Carver Counties Workforce Development Boards.

Bendix has a Master’s in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management Concentration and a Bachelors of Business Administration, Management and Marketing Concentration.

In addition, she has been the Rural Career Counseling Coordinator for the South Central and SW MN Private Industry Council since March 2016. Carrie will begin her duties as the Executive Director of SW MN Private Industry Council on September 5, 2017.

Bendix will fill the position following the retirement of Juanita Lauritsen who served the PIC for 32-plus years.
