In first round action Wednesday, the Marshall Tigers dropped a one-point decision to Becker, 68-67 in Class AAA.
Two former Minneota Vikings are playing college sports at the University of Minnesota Crookston. They are baseball player junior Henry Pesch and junior golfer Allison Bot.
In her third year of coaching, Minneota native Taya Kockelman led her team Redwood Valley girls to the state tournament.
The Section 3A Boys Basketball Tournament scheduled for Saturday were postponed to Monday, March 11.
The pairings have been released for the Class A Girls Basketball Tournament.

Minneota student Sydney Larson held the poster, "Here Comes the Boom," as she cheered on the Vikings from the student fan section.
Coach Dale Kockelman rose to the action on the court as the Minneota student section, dressed in white, cheered behind him.
