Logan Sussner had 15 points and 13 rebounds.

A win and 1,000 for Hennen

It was a special night for Thomas Hennen.
He sank his 1,000th career point on a three-point shot with 53 seconds left in the first half.
Minneota got five players in double figures and went on to beat MACCRAY, 83-60 to hoist their record to 9-0 on the year.
“It was nice and we won the game, too,” said Coach Dave Busselman.
He got 24 points from Nolan Boerboom, 15 points and 13 rebounds from Logan Sussner; 19 points from Thomas Hennen and 10 each from Jacob Hennen and Jared Josephson.
“We had a four-minute streak when we didn’t score. But it’s nice to have that and still win by 23,” said Coach Busselman.
“We let up a little,” he said after the Vikings rolled to 23-6 lead before MACCRAY got rolling.
Thomas Hennen slowly scored eight points and tried to keep what he called, “The nerves,” away.
Then with :53.5 seconds to go in the half, he hit a long jump shot from the  left side of the key for his 11th points of the game and his 1,000th career points.
Minneota went into the half ahead 44-25.
MACCRAY picked up the slack in the second half and scored 35 points — and although they got the lead down to 63-48 at one point — it was Boerboom who put more space between the two teams.
The sophomore forward sack a pair of threes, then one of two free throws and the Vikings were up 73-49.
Boerboom had probably his best career game, scoring 24 points, including three of five three-pointers.
“We need him to find that role,” Coach Busselman said about Boerboom’s effort.
Point guard Jared Josephson also had a good game, scoring 10, including both three-point shots he took.
He’s also been solid all year on defense and his teammate Thomas Hennen sang Josephson’s praises.
“He’s a great point good and he plays great defense,” Hennen said.
“One thing is we’ve got to learn to be a team that plays well when we’re ahead. We don’t want to take the killer instinct out of our guys. But it’s nice because we can play better, but still won by 23,” said the coach.
