Volleyball girls 'rollin' over YME

The old Creedence Clearwater Revival song, "Rollin', Rollin on the River," seemed approporiate Thursday night when Minneota's girls' vaolleyball team simply rolled to a 3-0 win over Yellow Medicine East. They rolled, and never looked back, 25-5, 25-14 and 25-1.

It drove their season record to 18-2 and their Camden Conference mark to 8-0.

Morgan Hennen slapped five kills in the first game alone, then ended up leading the team with eight. In that first game, Yellow Medicine East couldn't mount an offense. And rolbiecki served nine straight points to vault Minneota in a 14-1 lead before the Sting could even get the ball back for a serve.

Game No. 2 two a big more laborious but junior Abby Rost wen tt work with four straight kills at the net, with setter McKenna Yost adding opne more. by the time YME began to step up a little, the contest was over and Minneota was "rollin on the vourt.

The final game saw Reese Gillund, Madison Sorensen and Lyzah Sussner come off the bench and contribute to the victory. Reese had a couple of hits at the net. Rost served six straight points, Rolviecki pick up her powerful swining at the net and Minneota coasted home with an easy win.
