Vikings unable to overcome slow start

Minneota had one of its poorest shooting halves of the season and eventually lost to Lakeview 63-51 in a Camden Conference game on Friday at home.
Minneota shot only 25 percent in the first half and fell behind 27-16 at halftime. The Vikings played much better in the second half but couldn't overcome the hole they dug for themselves.
Jacob Hennen amassed game-highs of 22 points, 16 rebounds and five assists for Minneota (2-5), which dropped its fifth straight game. Jacob Citterman added 17 points, four rebounds and two assists. No one else had more than five points for the Vikings.
Lakeview connected on 50 percent of its shots (22 of 44) and also made 15 of 22 shots from the charity stripe in the win. Colby Marczak led the Lakers with 21 points, while Nathan Fenske had 16 points and Taivan Isaackson had 13.
