Vikings open playoffs with rout of YME

Top-seeded Minneota opened the Sub-Section 3A-North playoffs with a convincing 66-30 victory over Yellow Medicine East on Tuesday night.
Abby Hennen scored a season-high 32 points, hitting 12 of 23 shots from the field, including four 3-pointers. The senior also had 10 rebounds, seven steals and six assists.
Minneota (19-0) will host No. 5 Canby at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 19.
The Vikings also got nine points apiece from Natalee Rolbiecki and McKenna Yost, seven points from Jeren Rost, and four points and 10 rebounds from Abby Rost.
Shelby Mortenson had 11 points, 11 rebounds and two steals for the Sting.
