Vikings hammer RTR for 9th straight

The twin hammers, Abby Hennen and Natalee Rolbiecki combined for 33 kills and 34 digs as Minneota remained unbeaten with a 25-17, 25-16, 25-16 sweep of Russell-Tyler-Ruthton Thursday night in Tyler.
Hennen finished with 18 kills from 38 attacks, while Rolbiecki had 15 kills in 38 attempts for the Vikings (9-0), the two-time Class A state champions. Hennen and Rolbiecki also had 17 digs each to lead the team.
Abby Rost and Abby Frie had four kills each, and Ireland Stassen notched three kills.
The Vikings' string of not allowing an opponent to reach 20-or-more points in a set was extended to 27 sets this season.
McKenna Yost amassed 22 set assists, and Stassen was credited with 12 assists.
Minneota had three ace serves, with Stassen getting two and Hennen the other one.
