This time, Marshall bests Mudhens

Earlier this season the Minneota Mudhens won their first-ever game from the Marshall A's.
But Friday night Marshall came to Minneota and evened the season series with a 6-3 victory.
The Mudhens, playing without several players due to injuries and inability to attend the game, put on a good show behind pitcher Jake Leighton and reliever Bryce Gorder.
Leighton, a former A, pitched into the sixth inning, But Marshall got the long ball going with veterans Jon Ellis and Ryan VanMoer hitting home runs
VanMoer was 4-5 with one RBI and two runs scored. Ellis also went 4- 5, with three RBI and a run scored.
VanMoer also got the win on the mound, striking out two batters over 6.1 innings.
Leighton was 2 for 5 for Minneota with a double and two RBI in the loss. Beau Buysse was 1-3 and scored wo runs; Austin Buysse had a hit; Noah Scot got a hit and Brock Buysse went 2-4 and scored a run.
Manager Tyson Sonnenburg and shortstop Adam Durfee weren't able to attend and Jesse Drager sat out with an injury. Austin Buysse has also been ailing with a bad knee for the Mudhens, who are now 7-4 on the year.
Minneota will host Dawson on Wednesday.
