Ten named to the Academic All-State track team

Ten members of the Canby-Minneota track team have been named to the Academic All-State team.

Head Coach Sarah Hemish said, "We have several students that have earned Academic All-State as individuals."

"These students must have qualified for State, won their Conference event or met a standard time/distance set by the coaches association AND maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.6 or better ninth grade and up."

Coach Hemish added, "Our teams also qualify for the Academic All-State Team Award. To earn the Gold level you must have an average (of your top 10 GPA's grades 9-12) of 3.75."

"Our boys have 3.89 GPA and our girls are at 3.88!"

Making the Academic All-State team as individuals were:

Boys: Riley Kockelman, Jalyn Ufkin, Cole VanOverbeke, Jared Josephson, Isaac Hennen, Carter Wente.

Girls: Lizzy Gillingham, Lauren Jessen, Makenzie Hemish, Kalli Jelen.
