Summer Athletic Camps scheduled at SMSU

Hundreds of student-athletes entering grades K-12 from around the region will participate in various summer camp activities at Southwest Minnesota State University.

This year, SMSU offers six different sport camps, including boys’ and girls’ basketball, football, soccer, volleyball, and wheelchair basketball. All camps will be held on the campus of SMSU.

The numerous SMSU football camps start off with the Individual Skills Camp (all positions, grades 9-12) on May 19 with the same camp offered on July 7.

The OL/DL Big Man Academy will be held June 9 for athletes grades 9-12. The Youth Football Camp is offered June 13-14 for athletes entering grades 1-6. On July 24-26 there will be a Team Football Camp for grades 9-12.

Boys’ basketball camps begin June 16-18 with the SMSU Post-Perimeter Elite Camp for boys entering grades 7-12.

Advanced Skills Camp for boys entering grades 4-6 will be held June 20-21. The SMSU Basketball Skills Camp is offered for boys and girls entering grades K-4 and will be held June 24-27. Mini Mustang Fun! Camp will be held the mornings of July 29-Aug. 1 for both boys and girls entering grades 2-6.

A Mini Mustang Day Camp will be held the afternoons of July 29-Aug 1 for students entering grades K-6. Others also available. Check SMSU website.
