Sorensen sparks Minneota win
Cale Sorensen poured in a game-high 21 points as Minneota topped Ortonville 57-47 at home on Monday night.
The Vikings learned that it's not how well you shoot sometimes, as long as you clean up your own glass. Minneota was outshot 46 percent to 37 percent, but was able to launch 15 more shots than Ortonville by collecting 21 offensive rebounds.
Logan Sussner followed up a 26-rebound performance in his last game with 24 in this game. Sussner also had 16 points and two blocked shots.
Sorensen sank 6 of 13 shots from the field, including 3 of 4 from three-point range, and drained 6 of 7 free throws. Sussner hit 7 of 14 shots overall.
Nolan Boerboom finished with six points and Alex Saltzer had five for the Vikings. Peter Treiten had 12 points and Zach Kuechenmeister 10 for the Trojans.
