Softball tourney is a new addition

For the first time in recent years, the Boxelder Bug Day Committee has scheduled a softball tournament. It will be held at the Public School Softball Field next to the community swimming pool.

The tourney will begin at 9 a.m. at the High School Field Complex. Teams are still being compiled for the tournament, which will continue at 9 a.m. on Saturday and go until its completion.

Other sporting events include Friday night’s Dawson-Boyd at Minneota football game; the 5K/10K run-walk on Saturday morning; the bean bag tournament on Saturday, and if you want to include them as sports: the golf ball roll on Sunday and the Minneota Barrel Races.

A golf tournament also starts on Saturday.
