Softball team splits with Lac qui Parle Valley

Lac qui Parle Valley's Maddy Patzer and Haley Wollschlager combined for a one-hitter against Minneota/Canby Thursday afternoon.

Patzer allowed just one hit in four innings of work, allowing an unearned run in the process. Wollschlager wrapped up the fifth inning with a perfect inning.

Jenna Burkleo and Tori Bungarden helped the cause with a pair of RBIs each.

Sydney Larson took the loss but had a hit and knocked in a run for the Vikings.

Minneota/Canby scratched three runs across in the fourth inning to eke past Lac qui Parle Valley in a Camden Conference battle.

Both teams finished with four hits but Minneota/Canby strung those together in the fourth for the win. Brooklyn Nelson pitched the win for the Vikings and Audra Buysse knocked in a run with a hit.
