Softball team splits doubleheader

Minneota/Canby and Renville County West split a doubleheader on Friday. RCW won the first game, 8-7 while Minneota-Canby took the second game,  20-10 in six innings.
Becca Kallhoff recorded a pair of doubles and two RBI. Emily Pohlen and Brooklyn Nelson added four hits apiece, with Nelson adding three RBI in the second game. Madyson Sorenson was 3-5 with a double and Larissa Kockelman went 4-5 for the winners.
Nelson threw and picked up the win, striking out four over four innings.
In the first game Sydney Larson went 3-4 with two doubles. Pohlen and Nelson each added a pair of hits.
Kallhoff went the distance, striking out five batters but she took theloss.
Minneota/Canby (3-1) travels to Dawson-Boyd on Tuesday.
