Skillings to be inducted in NWHOF in April

Joel Skillings, longtime Minneota wrestling coach and current Southwest Minnesota State University assistant wrestling coach, will be inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame on April 23.
Skillings will be inducted into the Minnesota Chapter of the NWHOF at the Holiday Inn Conference Center in Austin. The nine men will be permanently honored at the National Wrestling Hall of Fame and Museum in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
Those being inducted besides Skillings are: Jim Harstad, Steve Carr, Bill Germann, Mike Hendrickson, Dan Jinks, Don Krusemark, Jerry Reker and Chuck Seifert.
Skillings' 559 coaching wins rank eighth all-time among Minnesota high school wrestling coaches in all classes. He coached Minneota to a state title in 2015, while also guiding teams to three third-place finishes and two fourth-place finishes. He is also a two-time Minneota Coach of the Year.
