Red-hot Citterman sparks Minneota
Jacob Citterman made the nylon dance with nearly every shot he took on Thursday night, leading host Minneota to an 80-51 triumph over Yellow Medicine East in front of a Parents' Night crowd.
Citterman, a junior forward, drained 12 of 13 shots from the field and finished with a game-high 25 points to go along with six rebounds and two steals.
The Vikings shot a torrid 56 percent from the field. Logan Sussner contributed 17 points, nine rebounds and six assists for Minneota.
Nolan Boerboom was in double digits in scoring for the third straight game with 10 points, as well as making three steals. Alex Saltzer added nine points, seven assists and six steals; and Cale Sorensen eight points and four assists.
A.J. Josephson and Grady Moorse each drained a three-pointer.
Kyle Chase led YME with 21 points, while Cody Dahlager scored 12 points and Carter Sneller 10.
