Ninth Grade team was state qualifier

Minneota qualified at Canby a week ago to participate in the Team State Tournament in Hastings.

Last weekend, they competed but did not place. Minneota lost to Fairmont/Martin Co. West, 42-24; to Foley, 47-24 and to Annandale/Maple Lake, 40-27.

There were eight regions and 24 teams in state. A week earlier, Minneota qualified amongst 15 teams. They beat United, 43-21; lost to MAHACA of Morris, 44-24 and beat Marshall, 48-27 to earn a spot in the state.

Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City was first, MAHACA second and Minneota third.
