Mudhens win again, now 11-3
The Minneota Mudhens won their 11th game in 14 starts this season when they turned back the Appleton A's, 11-3 Friday in Minneota.
Leading 7-1 after six innings, they put together four more runs in their final two innings to put the game away.
Alex Pohlen had his best game of the year, going 4-4, kocking in four runs, scoring two with a walk and a stolen base. One of his hits was a double.
Austin DeVlaeminck added three hits, walked and scored, Preston Nuy was 2-4 and scored twice, Tyson Sonnenburg was 2-4 with two runs scored and one knocked in and Beau Buysse went 2-6 and scored two runs.
Three Minneota pitchers allowed just three hits with Peyton Nuy going seven innings and picking up six strkeouts. Zach Nuy and Beau Beauysse pitched the final two innings.
The Mudhens now have a 5-0 record in the Land O'Ducks League.
