Minneota wrestlers 3rd in Iowa

Minneota won six of seven matches and placed third in the annual placed third in the Section 6 Summer Team Wrestling Camp Duals June 14-17 in Brooklyn, Iowa.
Jonah Gruenes, Zack Fier, Jackson Esping and Adam DeVlaeminck were Takedown Tournament Champions, as well as Individual Tournament Champions. Kade Lozinski and Branden Johnson were also Individual Tournament Champions. Alex DePestel placed second. Gruenes and Esping were undefeated.
Minneota defeated Holden, Missouri, 30-23; Iowa Valley, Iowa, 48-9; lost to a combined team from Winterset, Iowa, and Hardrive, Wisconsin, 28-21; then beat Tipton, Iowa, 45-10; North Mahaska, Iowa, 34-18; and Panorama, Iowa, 51-15. Minneota topped Wamego/Grinnell, Iowa, 31-25 in the third-place match.
