Minneota rolls past Dawson-Boyd

Three Minneota players notched double-doubles and two others were close as the Vikings routed Dawson-Boyd 94-24 in a Camden Conference girls basketball game Tuesday night.

Morgan Hennen tossed in a game-high 25 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, Natalee Rolbiecki added 19 points and 18 rebounds, and Abby Hennen finished with 17 points, 12 rebounds, seven steals and six assists.

Ireland Stassen had 14 points and eight rebounds, and McKenna Yost notched 11 points and eight rebounds. Minneota scorched the nets by shooting 59 percent from the field (42 of 71) and outrebounded a young Dawson-Boyd team 66-14.

“We really did a great job of running in transition and got a lot of east looks at the basket,” said Coach Chad Johnston.

“I was happy that the girls are looking to run the floor and we are looking to make those passes up the court to open teammates.” The Vikings also executed their half-court offense well and turned the ball over 10 times while forcing Dawson-Boyd into 31 turnovers.
