Minneota boys second at LQPV meet

Canby edged Minneota by six strokes on Friday to win the three-team Lac qui Parle Valley boys golf meet.
Carson Besonen of Lac qui Parle Valley earned medalist honors on his home course with a 37. Jake Wagner of Canby was second with a 38 and Cole Myhre of Minneota was third with a 42.
Canby shot a 178, while Minneota finished with a 184 and Lac qui Parle Valley shot 191.
Jackson Esping of Minneota was fifth after carding a 46. Max Rost was sixth with a 47. Alex DePestel came in with a 49 and Anthony Rybinski shot 53.
