LQPV late surge sinks Vikings

Trailing 28-27 at halftime, Lac qui Parle Valley poured in 48 second-half points and went on to defeat Minneota 75-57 Tuesday night in Madison.
Kaiden Allpress led the Eagles (8-7) with 25 points. Landon Schirm added 23 points and Will Giese 12.
LQPV sank 10 three-pointers with Allpress hitting five and Giese four.
Cale Sorensen scored 20 of his game-high 26 points in the first half for the Vikings (4-10). Max Rost and Anthony Rybinski finished with 11 points apiece.
The lead changed hand 13 times before the Eagles took a 41-40 lead with 12:17 remaining in the game and never trailed again, going on a 20-4 run to lead 61-44 with 6:10 left.

Windom (5-7) connected on 10 three-pointers and took advantage of a 27-6 run in the first half to overpower the Vikings (4-8).
Minneota, who had only seven players see action, trailed by as many as 26 points in the second half before outscoring Windom 20-7 to close out the game.
Cale Sorensen led Minneota with 22 points, while Max Rost had 10, Ryan Dalager nine, Anthony Rybinski eight, Sawyer DeSmet five and Garet DeBoer two. DeSmet also pulled down 12 rebounds, Sorensen had eight and Dalager seven.
For Windom, Henry Erickson had 16 points, Abe McKibbon 12, and
Drew Rothenberger and Dylan Serryn 10 apiece.

Alex Call scored 19 points and combined with Jared Cortez for all nine of the Fighting Saints' three-pointers en route to drubbing Minneota (4-8).
Call drained five triples and Cortez had four for KMS (7-7). Isaac Rudningen finished with 14 points and Cortez 12.
Cale Sorensen had a team-high 19 points, including four 3-pointers, for the Vikings (4-8). It was the senior's sixth 20-point game of the season. Max Rost had 11 points.
KMS led 30-17 at halftime continued to extend its lead in the second half. Sorensen scored Minneota's first 12 points of the second half until Rost scored with 8:30 remaining in the game.

Minneota also shot a season-best 50 percent from three-point range, an area that has been a weakness all season. Sorensen made four of the Vikings' nine treys.
Anthony Rybinski and Max Rost had 11 points apiece for the Vikings. Garet DeBoer had seven points and Sawyer DeSmet had five points and a team-high 10 rebounds.
