Lorang wins Porter road race at festival
Justin Lorang of Woodbury won the Porter Harvest Festival Of Road 5K Race on Saturday in Porter. Running in the male 35-44 age ground, Lorang finished 28 seconds ahead of James Niehus of Hendricks. Lorang ran the race in 22:32 with Niehus just behind in 23 minutes.
Third was Andy Cleveland of St. Michaels with Sheldon Crooks of Astoria, SD fourth and Nicholas Egley of Delano rounding out the top five. Egley won the male 15-19 category in 24:13.
The first female to finish was Anne Dybsetter of New London in 24:20. She ran in the 35-44 category with Molly Knutson of Volga, SD second in that race. The male up to 14 race was captured by Joseph Wollum of Porter with Trevor Gray of Porter about 12 seconds behind him.
The female up to 14 race was won by Claire Stoks of Porter in 27:33. The top male in the 55 and over category was Brad Miller of Porter in 28:55.
