Lady Vikings defeat Lakers 66-34
Lakeview scored the first basket of the game and Minneota took over after that and upended the Lakers 66-34 Friday night in Cottonwood. The win was the 10th in a row for Minneota (23-1).
After trailing 2-0, Minneota went on a 25-10 run and eventually took a 31-18 lead into the locker room at halftime. Natalee Rolbiecki with 22 points and Abby Hennen with 21 led the way for the Vikings.
Morgan Hennen contributed nine points, Kennedi Jurrens six, Ireland Stassen four, and Jeren Rost and McKenna Yost two each. Minneota had a huge advantage beyond the three-point arc, hitting 9 of 24 treys, to only 1 of 14 for the Lakers.
The Vikings held a 34-29 rebound advantage with Abby Rost pulling down eight, Jeren Rost seven and Rolbiecki six. Abby Hennen also amassed four assists and three steals. Shelby Gravely had 10 points to lead Lakeview. Savannah Rausch had eight points.
