Junior Vultures win a pair at Cottonwood

The Minneota Junior Vultures swept a pair of games from Cottonwood on Friday, winning 14-6 and 9-2. Braeden Panka started and Carter Schuelke picked up the win on the mound in the first game and Thor Fischer was the winning pitcher in the second games.

In the 14-6 win, the heavy hitting came from AJ Myhre, who doubled and singled twice and knocked in three runs. Also adding hits were Ben Skorczewski, Jonah Gruenes and Jackson Esping.

Minneota scored seven runs in the final two innings to put the game away. In the second game, Minneota rapped out nine hits, including two hits by Skorczewski. He knocked in a run with a double and triple. Esping came through with a pair of hits and knocked in a run.

Panka added a pair of hits and had a triple while Carter Schuelke, Gruenes, Kade Lozinski and Josh Schuelke all contributed hits.
