High School Boys & girls track and field
The Canby/Minneota girls' track and field team qualified at least one individual or relay team to the section meet in all but one of the 18 events in the Sub-Section 3A-Central meet Thursday in Redwood Falls.
The top four individuals and top four relay teams in each event qualify for the Section 3A meet June 1 in Montevideo.
The Canby/Minneota boys had at least one individual or relay team advance in 11 of the 18 events.
Redwood Valley captured both the boys and girls Sub-Section 3A-South team titles.
Individual girls' sub-section champions from Canby/Minneota were: Braelyn Merritt in the 800 run, Mya Pesek in the 3200 run, Cheyenne Milbrandt in both the shot put and discus, the 4 x 400 relay team of Rachel Jelen/Taylor Ourada/Brynn Kockelman/Claire Stoks, and the 4 x 800 relay team of Kockelman/Pesek/Claire Stoks/Merritt.
Individual boys' sub-section champions from Canby/Minneota were: Trevor Gray in the high jump, and the 4 x 400 relay team of Gray/Kolton Duis/Tallen Merritt/Zach Ourada.
