Drietz runs away from the crowd

 "We did not run at this meet last year so I don't have results to compare.  However, this was a great meet for us to see some competition we had not seen yet this season.  Many of the teams at this meet will be at our conference and sectional meets," said Coach Allyson Pesek.

Grace Drietz ran an 18:53 and came in far ahead of everyone else. Isabel Schirm of Lac qui Parle Valley was second at 19:58.

Yet, it was Lac qui Parle Valley/Dawson-Boyd winning the meet with 32 points to Canby-Minneota's second place finish of 41.

Faith Traen was the second C-M runner to finish in 21:21 in eighth place wtih McKenzie Ruether in 10th, Braeleyn Merritt in 11th and Aidyn Bruns in 15th place.

The Team scores were: 1. Lac qui Parle Valley 32; 2. Canby-Minneota 41; 3. Springfield-Cedar Mt./Comfrey 104; 4. Montevideo 111; 5. Ortonville 124; 6. Yellow Medicine East 145; 7. BOLD/Buffalo Lake/Hector 162.
