Deja vu! Vikings sweep again

It's been like watching the movie "Groundhogs Day" when it comes to describing the Minneota volleyball team this season.

For one, the Vikings have defeated six opponents by nearly the same score in each set; limiting every foe to under 20 points per set.

Thursday's Camden Conference match against Yellow Medicine East was just another example. The Vikings dominated from start to finish en route to a 25-16, 25-11, 25-10 triumph over the Sting in the Camden Conference match played in Granite Falls.

Also, the individual statistics for the Viking players are nearly identical from match to match.

Abby Hennen and Natalee Rolbiecki paced the Vikings with 14 and 13 kills, respectively, against YME. Hennen finished with a kill percentage of .481, while Rolbiecki's was .429 (.300 is considered good). Ireland Stassen, Abby Rost and Abby Frie had four kills apiece.

The Vikings have been getting quality setting all season, too, enabling the team to finish with a high kill percentage in each match. McKenna Yost amassed 20 set assists and Stassen 16 against YME.

Stassen also had a team-high three ace serves from 18 errorless attempts, and a team-high nine digs. Frie led with three ace blocks.
