Cross Country: Improvement shown

"What a beautiful night for a meet!  The results do not truly show how good all of our runners did tonight.  This was a 12 team meet with some good competition and our runners competed well..  I will say I left the meet excited about what is to come in the next month," said Coach Allyson Pesek.

 

On the girls side, they came in 4th Place falling short of the 3rd Place spot by just a point.  The girls were led by Grace Drietz in 2nd Place.

 

Then Braelyn Merritt, taking almost 2 minutes off her time she ran on this course last year, came in 8th. followed by Mckenzie Ruether 18th, Faith Traen 22nd and our team score was wrapped up by RyAnn Hansen in 37th place. 

 

On the boys side, they came in 3rd Place only 2 points behind the 2nd Place team. The boys were led by Blake Stoks in 6th Place.  He was followed by a fantastic pack Tristen Bierschenk 12th, Eric Carassco 13th and Alex Full 14th.  The boys team score was wrapped up by Isaac Bach in 35th.

 

The JV also had some great runs. The girls placed 3rd and were led with a 1st place finish by 7th grader Claire Stoks. The boys JV took 2nd and were led by 8th grader Kolton Duis with a 2nd place finish.

 

"Junior High did great as well!  Our Girls took 2nd and were led by 1st place finisher Nohemi Diaz. The boys took 3rd and were led by Ty Thammavong with an 11th place finish," added Coach Pesek.

 

"It was a truly a great meet and the smiles on the kids faces after they ran said it all!  Good things are happening on the Canby-Minneota CC TEAM!!!" said Coach Pesek.
