Boy runners fall off the pace

Canby/Minneota's best boy runner came in 15th and they finished fifth out of nine teams as Lac qui Parle Valley/Dawson-Boyd won Thursday's cross country meet at Slayton.

Adam Koller of Worthington took the championship in 16:59.7 with Blake Stoks of Canby-Minneota in 15th place at 18:44.

Down the list in 24th place was Alexander Full at 19:32 with Eric Carrasco the third C-M finisher in 34th place with Tristan Bierschenk in 36th and Isaac Bach in 52nd place. Sean Dilley didn't run for C-M for the second straight meet.

NOTES:

•The Canby/Minneota JV finished seventh of seven teams. Top C-M runner was Brandt Eischens in 35th place at 18:51.

•The C/M Junior High team won their event with 33 points with LqPV/D-B in second at 42.

Top runners were: Kolton Duis in second at 7:12; Michael Tol in fourth at 7:39.2; Zach Ourada in ninth at 7:51.1 and Sam Skorczewski in 10th at 7:51.3. In 17th place was Ty Thammavong at 8:08.
