Sharon Tholkes

Sharon Tholkes, 73, of Hopkins, formerly of Minneota, died on Wednesday, November 27, 2019, at Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, MN.

Mass of Christian Burial for Sharon will take place at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 6 at Rehkamp Horvath Funeral Home in Minneota.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at St. Edward Catholic Cemetery in Minneota.

Sharon Ann Tholkes was born on January 21, 1946, in Canby to Cyril and Marie (Eischens) Tholkes.

The family lived in St. Leo for a time, then moved to Minneota where Sharon graduated from High School.

She worked as a Nanny in Marshall for a few years before moving to the Twin Cities where she worked as a Nanny and as a Receptionist for an insurance company. For the last several years, she worked as an Administrative Assistant for Senior Living Community in St. Louis Park.

Sharon enjoyed playing cards and various games with friends and family. She also enjoyed reading and watching TV.

She is survived by siblings Kathy (and Ed) Olander of Hinckley, Lois (and Donald) Ricke of Montevideo, Bonnie (and Charlie) Suedbeck of Lester Prairie, sister-in-law Luetta Tholkes of Otsego, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Don, Ray and Bob.
