Regina Fox

1928-2023

A Mass of Christian burial for Regina Fox, 94 of Minneota, MN, took place on Monday April 17, 2023 at 11 a.m. at St. Edward Catholic Church in Minneota. A public visitation was held on Sunday April 16, 2023 from 4-6 p.m. with a prayer service beginning at 6 p.m. at Horvath Remembrance Center in Minneota. Visitation continued at Horvath Remembrance Center Monday morning from 9:30-10:30 a.m. A rosary began at St. Edward's Church at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 17. Burial took place at St. Edward Catholic Cemetery in Minneota following the funeral Mass. A funeral luncheon was held at St. Edward Church following the committal service.
Regina Marie (Kockelman) Fox was born on Sept. 19, 1928 to Philip and Mary (Betzen) Kockelman in St. Leo, MN. She went to school in St. Leo, completing the eighth grade. She was married to Lawrence Fox on June 30, 1948 at St. Leo Catholic Church. The couple raised their family in Minneota.
Regina’s faith and family were important to her. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren, especially at the family gatherings on Christmas, always making a strawberry Jell-O cake. Regina would fry chicken every Sunday, creating a tradition within the family. She liked to play golf, crochet, and read. Regina enjoyed going downtown for coffee with friends every morning. She read her prayer book daily. Regina will be remembered for her gentle touch, soft voice, dry sense of humor, kind heart, strong faith, extraordinary Pinochle skills, and unconditional love for her family.
Regina died on April 12, 2023 at Johnson Memorial Care Center in Dawson, MN.
She is survived by her family Doug (Susan) Fox, Matthew and Andrew, Bob Fox, Nicole, Betty (Jon) Thomson, Tawnya and JD, Dennis (Roberta) Fox, Megan and Kelly, Randy (Jane) Fox, Jason and Chris, Linda (Pat) Boerboom, Tyler and Todd, Larry (Linda) Fox, Heather and Brock, Ron (Patti) Fox, Travis and Shauna, Suzanne (Brad) Skindelien, Mike (Mary) Fox, Ethan, daughter-in-law Jan Olsen, Marie and Melissa, sister-in-law Anita Kockelman, 28 great-grandchildren and one great great-granddaughter.
Regina is preceded in death by her husband Lawrence, son Wayne, granddaughter Courtney, parents Philip and Mary, thirteen brothers and sisters.
