OLIVIA WRIGHT

1999-2024

Olivia Mathison Wright (Miller), 25, of Burr Oak, MI, formerly of DeKalb, IL, died unexpectedly on June 19, 2024, in Kalamazoo MI, due to pregnancy complications.
Olivia was born on Jan. 21, 1999, in Peoria IL, to Dean & Lisa (Horrie) Miller. On Oct.r 16, 2021, Olivia married the love of her life Cameron J. Wright in Holland, MI, where she and Cameron had met three years earlier.
Olivia was a smart, sweet, sassy, and perfect girl from an early age. She always knew what she wanted and was determined to get it. She was a Wildflower in a field of roses, loved and adored by her Horrie & Miller families, as she loved and cherished them.
Olivia attended St. Mary School, and DeKalb District Schools, graduating from DeKalb High School in 2017. Along the way, she played soccer, and softball, danced on the Pom/Dance team, and attended the Hillcrest Covenant Youth program where her love for God grew and grew. Olivia moved to Holland, MI in August of 2017 to attend Hope College. In 2020, she graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a double minor in Youth Ministry and Communications. Olivia would spend her college summers on the staff at Covent Bible Camp in Iron River, MI.
Olivia had an immense love for Covenant Point, the friends she made, and the Upper Peninsula. Along her journey, Olivia met Cameron at Hope College and married him in October of 2021. Olivia and Cameron began their marriage living in Southwest Michigan. In May of 2023, their beautiful daughter, Haven Ann-Nicole, was born. Olivia immediately was a natural mother to Haven, who she loved and adored beyond measure. At the beginning of 2024, Olivia and Cameron learned that they were excepting a baby boy in September, who would complete their perfect family.
Olivia was the most thoughtful and caring woman on the planet. She loved her friends, her family, and her husband and daughter more than anything in the world. Olivia put the needs of so many before her own and was a beacon of light for people when they needed it the most. Olivia, we recognize all your hard work, your commitment to your family, and all that you gave to those around you. We miss you dearly.
Olivia is survived by her husband, Cameron, and daughter, Haven, of Burr Oak MI, her parents Lisa (Horrie) Miller of Malta, IL; father Dean Miller of DeKalb, IL; brother Noah (Taylor) Miller of Dallas, TX; grandparents Stan & Loralee Miller of Minneota, MN; mother-in-law Lori (Bryan) Donati of Grant, MI; father-in-law Chuck (Lorrine) Wright of Fremont MI; numerous aunts and uncles, brothers-in-law and their partners, nieces and nephews, and an abundance of cousins and her beloved faithful four-legged boys, Harvey and Maverick.
Olivia is preceded in death by her son Kayce Paxton Wright, maternal grandparents, Gene Horrie, Praxedes and Francis Foley, Godfather John Foster, aunt Hazel Kiesewetter, uncle Pat Horrie, aunt Lyn Horrie and uncle Randy Kiesewetter.
Funeral services were held on June 27 at Hillcrest Covenant Church in DeKalb, IL, with Pastor Jen Zerby officiating. Visitation was on June 27 at the Hillcrest Covenant Church followed immediately by a luncheon. Cremation was entrusted by Finch Crematory following the services.
