Donna Faris

Donna Rose (Pfledderer) Faris, age 91, of Minneota, Minnesota, passed away on March 7, 2018, in Minneota. 

Memorial Service for Donna will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 22, at Bethel Fellowship Church in Minneota.

A family graveside service at Memory Gardens, Rensselaer, IN will take place at a later date.

Donna was born June 11, 1926 in Francesville, Indiana to the late George and Marie (Remm) Pfledderer. 

On April 6, 1947 she married Boyd Delos Faris at the home of her parents in Francesville, and he preceded her in death on October 13, 2006.  

Donna graduated from Francesville High School in 1944.  She attended Beauty School in Chicago and owned her own Beauty Shop in Rensselaer, Indiana for many years. 

In 1965, Donna and Boyd purchased the former Early Inn (Faris Resort) on Lake Osakis in Minnesota and were co-owners for over thirty years.  

Surviving are daughters Janet Faris of Minneota and Nancy (Garry) Lee of Lafayette, IN, son Alan Faris of Sarasota, FL, and one sister Jeannette Zaring of Monticello, Indiana.

Also surviving are four grandchildren, Eric (Eriann) Faris, Michael (Sarah) Lee, Ryan (Jody) Lee, Jennifer (Courtney) Burch and nine great-grandchildren. 

In addition to her husband and parents, Donna is preceded in death by five sisters, Katherine Rosenkranz, Marie Spaeth, Anna Henzler, Clara LaHue, Alice Kopka and nine brothers, William Pfledderer, Albert Pfledderer, Paul Pfledderer, Roy Pfledderer, John Pfledderer, Adam Pfledderer, Robert Pfledderer, Raymond Pfledderer, and Leslie Pfledderer.
