DAVID P WAMBEKE

Our loving husband, dad, stepdad, granddad, brother and friend passed away peacefully at home after various cancers and a recent stroke.
David P. Wambeke of Clear Lake, MN, was born Oct. 28, 1946, and died on July 22, 2024.
He was an electrician with IBEW 292 and enjoyed the friendships he made there. He served four years in the Air Force Security Police and was cleared for Presidential Guard.
He is survived by wife Janet, son Todd (wife Ann and son Sam), stepson Scott Van Bergen (wife Wendy, kids Emily (Jared) Lindberg, and Ryan (Jasmin), stepdaughter Kim Reno and three brothers, Patrick (Holly), Doug, Ron (Bev), a niece and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Gerri and Jack Wambeke and two younger brothers in Minneota.
Per his request, there will be no funeral. There will be a simple internment at Fort Snelling at 12:30 p.m. on Sept. 6 in the care of the National Cremation Society.
