Bernadine Noyes, 96, of Marshall, died on Tuesday, April 11, 2017, under Hospice Care at Boulder Creek.
Mass of Christian Burial for Bernadine will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 17, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Marshall.
Visitation will be Sunday from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. with a CCW Rosary at 5 p.m. and a Parish Prayer Service at 7 p.m. at Rehkamp-Horvath Funeral Home in Marshall.
Visitation will continue from 9 a.m. – 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Marshall.
Bernadine Marie Noyes was born on March 23, 1921, in Westerheim Township to John and Elizabeth Engels. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Eloi Catholic Church in Ghent, Minnesota.
She attended District 44 Country School in Westerheim Township and graduated in 1939 from Marshall High School.
Bernadine was united in marriage to Archie Noyes on September 1, 1943, at St. Eloi Catholic Church in Ghent. They lived on the farm for forty years and then moved to Marshall in 1986.
Bernadine moved to Boulder Estates in 2013 and then to Boulder Creek in February of 2017. Bernadine was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and was a CCW Member. She volunteered for the American Cancer Society.
Bernadine loved to cook and bake and nothing made her happier than to share her delicious cooking! She was a regular at the Marshall Senior Center – every day Monday through Friday! Bernadine loved to play cards, play and watch rolle bolle, and could not wait for the Twins season to start.
She also loved to play bingo and went on trips to Las Vegas with her daughters; the last one was on her 95th birthday. Family was highly important to Bernadine, and she loved family gatherings.
Bernadine is survived by daughters Bonnie (Robert) Boerboom of Walnut Grove; Gayle (Bob) Ranweiler of New Ulm; Janel VerHoeven of Longmont, CO, Glenda (Dale) Schulte of St. Cloud; and a son Dean (Mary) Noyes of Marshall. She is also survived by her sister Grace Wegner of Marshall and one sister-in-law Ethel Noyes of London Ontario, Canada, 15 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Bernadine was preceded in death by her husband Archie, parents John and Elizabeth Engels, and one son-in-law Rodger VerHoeven.
Memorials preferred to Prairie Home Hospice, the Marshall Senior Center or Holy Redeemer Catholic Church or School.
