Arlene Wolff, of Shakopee, Minnesota, loving mother and grandmother, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2020, at the age of 81. Arlene was born on Sept. 26, 1939, in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota, to Victor and Sylvia (Braunger) Iffert.
Arlene was raised on the family farm two miles from Morgan, Minnesota with her two brothers and two sisters, until she graduated high school in 1957. She then moved to Minneapolis to work at the University of Minnesota Hospital where she met her husband, Richard (Dick) Wolff through mutual friends. They would raise two sons, Brad and Paul, settling in Minneota in 1972 where Dick opened and became the first plant manager for Schott Corp at the Minneota branch.
Arlene was known for her kind spirit and amazing willingness to help whoever she met. Arlene worked at the Minneota Manor and with Dick at their bar restaurant in Taunton, Minnesota. Arlene enjoyed the many friendships she gained through her activities at St. Edwards Church, the schools and her various jobs. She maintained many of these friendships over the next 33 years and referred to Minneota as the family home town even after her and Dick moved away in 1987.
Arlene’s family would like to thank all of the wonderful friends who gave us so much love and support during our time in Minneota. Your prayers and kindness will never be forgotten.
Arlene was preceded in death by her husband, Dick Wolff; and parents, Victor and Sylvia Iffert. She is survived by her two sons, Brad Wolff and his wife Lisa and their two children Nick and Anna Wolff, and her youngest son, Paul and his wife Nancy and their son Jacob; two brothers, Dicky and Fred; and two sisters, Marylyn and Marcy.
Arlene will be laid to rest next to her loving husband at Fort Snelling Cemetery. A private family service will be held prior to her burial.
