This car went into the ditch just southeast of Minneota on Highway 68,

Weather coming on strong — snow, rain, wind!

Sunday was one of those beautiful, sun-shiny days — a bit cold, but nice for a winter day.
But Old Man Winter wouldn’t leave well enough alone. First he threw a little rain, accompanied by heavy winds. It was cold and wet. Then he whipped up a little snow, about two to three inches in the area. He mixed in a little below freezing temperatures just to make sure the rain froze — then he covered it with snow.
The mixture was too much for the Minneota School District and Supt. Dan Deitte, by 6:45 a.m., made the decision to call off Minneota schools for the day.
By afternoon there was patchy blowing snow.
Snow accumulation of two to three inches was report around the Minneota area.
High temperatures were  around 36 with outheast winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts to around 35 mph.
Yes, Old Man Winter won another round.

The prediction is for "patchy blowing snow in the afternoon. Snow accumulation of two to three inches. Highs around 36. Southeast winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts to around 35 Mph."
