Variety of police incidents are reported

Two separate stabbing incidents, within hours of each other, are being investigated by Minneota Police Chief Bill Bolt.

“I also have had several separate incidents of people with serious mental health issues that required immediate care,” said the chief in his monthly report to the Minneota City Council.

He’s working with the Crisis Response Team through Western Mental Health in Marshall.

The chief also indicated landlord and renter issues continue to be a problem.

“But I believe we have made some positive progress,” the chief said.

There have been two evictions of four people along with a single individual leaving voluntarily.

“I also continued to work with landlords to educate them on best practices in regards to their property,” indicated Chief Bolt.
