Swedzinski, Drost to debate on PBS

Pioneer PBS will host live debates on Thursday, Oct. 29 starting at 7 p.m., featuring House District 16A incumbent Chris Swedzinski (R) of Ghent and challenger Doria Drost (DFL) of Lynd.
At 8 p.m., House District 16B incumbent Paul Torkelson (R) of Hanska and Marinda “Mindy” Kimmel (DFL) of New Ulm will respond to viewer questions.
The debates will be broadcast live from Pioneer PBS’s studio in Granite Falls. Viewers will be able to livestream the debate at pioneer.org/live.
The debate will also be carried over the Pioneer PBS broadcast network, over Dish Network and DirecTV and through YouTube TV.
Viewers are encouraged to call (1-800-726-3178), tweet (@PioneerPBS) or email (yourtv@pioneer.org) questions to the candidates during the debate.
At 9 p.m. Pioneer PBS will rebroadcast a prerecorded debate between Minnesota Senate District 22 incumbent Bill Weber (R) of Luverne and challenger Shawna Marshall (DFL) of Luverne that was interrupted due to technical difficulties when it originally aired on September 24.
