Music: Grades 7 & 8 are finishing up a unit on Dynamic, Tempo & Articulation terms. Grades 4, 5 & 6 have been playing simple melodies on xylophones.

Grades 2 & 3 have been practicing playing ostinatos on various percussion instruments. They are really starting to make their playing sound like true “music!”

The Kindergartners & First Graders are exploring the concepts of High & Low and Loud & Soft. It can be very confusing!

Art: All students have finished up various projects using simple lines and shapes. We are working on drawings of pumpkins, trying to add the feeling of “roundness” using line and color.

They seem to enjoy working with the oil pastels and painting over the pastels with a paint wash is kind of fun as well!
