Spring blowout is Today!

The annual Spring Blowout set for Saturday will again feature an array of activities for all ages. This year's Spring Blowout will be held from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Many local businesses will be open and some will be offering discount prices, door prizes and refreshments.

The popular craft and vendor sale will again be held at Bethel Fellowship Church, and will include the following vendors: Avon, Cathy's Creations, Color Street, Norwex, Pampered Chef, Paparazzi Jewelry, Scentsy, Sugar and Spice & Everything Nice by Lily, Tastefully Simple, Thirty-One Gifts, 3 Hearts Vintage, and Up North Dreams.

The Minneota Pool Pals will be also be hosting a free-will offering Sloppy Joe lunch at Bethel Fellowship beginning at 11 a.m. Proceeds from the lunch will go towards the renovations at the swimming pool.

The Pool Pals are attempting to raise $200,000 to resurface the pool, as well as other repairs, by 2020 as required by the State Licensing Board.

Also at Bethel Fellowship, a silent auction will benefit the continuation of the baseball field dugouts currently being renovated.

If it's mouth-watering baked goodies you are after, a large bake sale will be held for St. Edward's Catholic Church at Bethel.

Or you can stop over to City Hall Bar & Grill where it will be serving a lunch special on Saturday.

In conjunction with May being proclaimed Poppy Month by Gov. Tim Walz, the American Legion Auxiliary will have an informational booth set up for upcoming events, as well as having Poppies available for sale/donations.
