Sophomore history students to showcase WWII exhibits

The Minneota Public School American History sophomore class is showcasing a World War II exhibit that is open to the public.
The exhibit runs from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 15 in the main gym of the school. The educational experience is also for all students in grades 7-12 to learn more about World War II.
The students in Mrs. Rosa's history class will have over 20 booths set up in the gym that include experiences and teachings on topics related to World War II that they have researched.
"The topics are narrow in some cases, such as music or rationing in WWII," Mrs. Rosa said. "In other cases, they are larger in scope, as in the case of D-Day. Each booth will have something tangible for viewers to experience or perhaps even take with them. The hope is to foster a responsibility to learn history in the kids and a connection between the teens and other generations who experienced WWII as children or through stories of their parents and grandparents."
