SMSU awards jacket to FFA

The Minneota FFA last week was presented a Blue FFA jacket by Ian Wyffels of the School of Agriculture at SMSU in Marshall.

“We’ve had several students from Minneota in the past and we feel blessed to have these students. So we wanted to give back to the Minneota Chapter,” said Wyffels.

The jacket will be given to FFA member Jackson Lacek, said Matt Buysse, Minneota FFA Co-Advisor.

After the presentation, Wyffels interviewed Minneota FFA officers and were filmed by Adam Henning.

The film will be used in SMSU presentations and on the website.

Minneota FFA Chapter President Grady Moorse accepted the jacket from Ken Lanoue of the Corn Growers Association.

Lanoue is from Milroy and the corn growers are a corporate sponsor of the jacket presentation event.

The Minneota FFA officers and several members of the FFA were on hand for the presentation.
