Rotary makes meeting changes
Minneota Rotary is changing and new members are more than welcome to join. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Rotary now will meet at 5:30 p.m. on the first and third Wednesdays of each month in the Community Center room of the City Office Building.
This is a temporary change, but will make the meetings more convenient for those who work out of town.
Anyone who may be interested in being part of a service organization that if free of political or religious ties, Rotary is the organization for you.
There is an opportunity with Rotary to help complete community, county, and international service projects. The Rotary International Friendship Exchange Program is an amazing way to visit other parts of the world as well.
One important program that the Minneota Rotary sponsors is inviting every member of the senior class to attend a meeting to speak about themselves, their families, and their future plans, along with sharing what is happening at the school. Though this time may be inconvenient for the seniors, it is hoped that they will still make these presentations. The Minneota Rotary sponsors scholarships for several members of the senior class each spring.
The first meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 2 at the Community Center. If you have any questions, contact Tom Runholt at 507-829-6810, Rick Bot at 507-829-6382, Terry VanKeulen at 507-828-8561, or Dennis Swedzinski at 507-829-2460.
